Founded in 1979 and with decades of cumulative experience, SMI is a full service minting facility that has defined the global standards and is well respected in the industry as a leader. Since its inception, SMI has continued to grow and thrive in the minting industry with a proven track record for quality and innovation that have helped to re-define the global standard.

SMI is a primary supplier of silver and gold products to several of the largest sovereign mints around the world, capable of producing very large volumes of high-quality bullion, blanks, coins, bars and medallions. At SMI, we combine art, technology, science, skilled workmanship and experience to produce unique commemorative pieces.

Nevada Facility

Acquired in 2018
Located in Henderson, Nevada
This 142,000 sq. ft. facility is our flagship operation, housing our Corporate, Accounting, Sales & Marketing and our manufacturing operations, which include Melting and Casting, Extrusion, Rolling, Blanking, Annealing, Surface Finishing, Coining, and Packaging.
This facility also contains our state of the art Design facility, as well as our modern Machine and Tool shop, Assay Lab and Quality Assurance lab.
This facility currently houses a workforce of over 200 employees.

Idaho Facility

Purpose Built for SMI in 2001
Located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
Plant is secure 36,000 sq ft with complete manufacturing processes including Melting and Casting, Extrusion, Rolling and Blanking, Annealing, Surface Finishing, Coining and Stamping, and Packaging.
This facility also contains our state-of-the-art machine and tool shop, assay lab and quality testing lab.
This facility currently houses a workforce of over 125 employees.

Shanghai, China Facility

Acquired in 2011
Located in Putou District of Shanghai
Plant is secure 36,000 sq ft for the fabrication of silver and gold products for the Asian and export market
