life-in-Coeur-Alene-min.jpg

Nothing beats the views and weather of Coeur d'Alene in the summertime, and in the colder months the landscape turns into a winter wonderland. Coeur d’Alene locals are able to take advantage of a wide variety of housing options, with new places to call home being built and expanded on every day! With a little something for everyone, Coeur d’Alene is a beautiful place to put down roots.

Since 1878 when Coeur d’ Alene was originally established as a military fort, the city has continued to grow and evolve into the destination resort community it is today. Just over 30 miles east of Spokane, Washington, Coeur d’ Alene is a thriving community with all the modern amenities anyone would seek. In the early 1890’s, Coeur d’ Alene served as the railroad and steamboat transfer point for the mines in the Silver Valley. The name Silver Valley refers to the mining communities just east of Coeur d’ Alene where over 1.2 billion ounces of silver have been mined since 1884. In addition to silver, other precious metals and rare earth minerals have been mined out of the Silver Valley. This area is a geological boom town and created a perfect opportunity for Sunshine Minting to relocate and put down roots in Coeur d’ Alene. In turn, Sunshine Minting has become one of the city’s largest employers.
